Rabbi Malka Drucker has written 21 books, including the Southwest PEN award winner, White Fire: A Portrait of Women Spiritual Leaders in America, and Christopher Award winner, Rescuers: Portraits of Moral Courage in the Holocaust. After being ordained at 53 as a rabbi, she discovered in her sixties how difficult it was to age from the inside out in America. She became a Sageing Mentor to learn and teach the connection between wisdom and time to help in the transmission of revealing the profound purpose of the second half of life. Rabbi Nadya Gross’ close relationship with her teacher, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, author of the seminal book, From Age-ing to Sage-ing: A Profound New Vision of Growing Older, inspired her to begin the Sage-ing work in her forties. She serves as co-Director and senior faculty of the Sage-ing® Legacy Program, which offers workshops around the US in the elements of the Sage-ing work and includes a training program for Sage-ing Mentors. Nadya has trained End-Of-Life Doulas and serves on the faculty of the Anamcara Project of the Sacred Art of Living, Center for Spiritual Formation, a program which trains caregivers in the “art, science and practice of sacred relationship” through all stages of living and dying, drawing from many wisdom traditions.
