Tamam Kahn

Tamam Kahn is the author of poetry books on the women of early Islam, Untold, A History of the Wives of Prophet Muhammad, and Fatima’s Touch; in 2010, the former won an International Book Award, for which the latter was a finalist in 2016. She has traveled to sacred sites in India, Morocco, and Syria researching early Islamic history and continues to write about history’s powerful women. Tamam is a 10th generation American, whose roots go back to America’s founding fathers and mothers. She is married to Shabda Kahn, the spiritual director (Pir) of the Sufi Ruhaniat International with outreach in more than 50 countries.
